Widely recognized as the land use industry's most prestigious recognition program, ULI recognizes full development of a project-from leadership, contribution, to the community, innovations, public private partnership, environmental protection and enhancement, response to societal needs, financial success, architecture and design.
The winning projects were selected from 35 entries, which were subsequently narrowed to 12 finalists, then finally identifying 5 winners. ULI is considered as the "Oscars" of real estate industry. Greenbelt 5 was cited as a great example of success that showcases creativity, innovation, responsible land-use and long-term thinking. The other 2010 Award winners were Dragon Lake Bridge Park in Bengbu, China, Newton Suites in Singapore, Rouse Hill Town Centre in Rouse Hill Australia, and The Southern Ridges in Singapore.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Real Estate Investment World (REIW) conference in Singapore last June 23, 2010. Receiving the award were Ayala Malls Group Head Senior Vice President, Marivic Añonuevo, Greenbelt's General Manager, AC Ocampo and Ayala Land's Senior Architect Dave Blas.
The multi-awarded Greenbelt 5 has also been recognized in the Best-Of-The-Best Awards by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Global in May 2010 and has received a Gold Award in Design and Development by ICSC Asia Pacific in October 2009. Greenbelt , the Philippines' premier lifestyie center is part of the portfolio of Ayala Malls, the shopping center group of Ayala Land, the most trusted and most respected developer in the Philippines.
