While a lot preferred to stay at home today, I decided to meander at Greenbelt along with a friend. There was no definite plan; instead, we'll just follow where our toes will lead us. From Greenbelt 1 to Greenbelt 5, we strolled and stay dry while the heavy rained poured in the heart of Ayala Center. It was only today that I noticed how convenient it is to walk from Glorietta to any point going to Greenbelt. And that's what I actually did and more...
First stop is to check the movie schedule at Greenbelt 3. Apparently, everyone wanted to watch, The Dark Night Rises. Too bad I didn't reserve seat online. Instead, we I bought tickets to watch Ice Age 4. The movie will not start until 5:20 PM. Time check. It's only 4:00 PM. So, I decided to visit an all-time favorite place in Greenbelt - Café Breton. And of course the natural food to pick for me is their Tuna Melt. Oh, and another automatic order is their brewed coffee.
After watching the movie, I went to wherever my feet led me. The rain was still pounding the covered walk-way of Ayala Center but not a drop of rain water troubled me. I went to the Chapel area where the pond is. I was in an exploring mood so I surveyed the new restaurants, coffee shops and even boutiques. I haven't visited the area in a while and I never realized how much I am missing. Then my friend recommended this place called, A-Gantea. After my first sip, it wasn't that amazing. But after a few more sip and chat, I got the hang of it and enjoyed. It must be an acquired taste, after all.
While on my way home, I suddenly realized that Ayala Center contributed to who I am right now as a person. I get to spend my first paycheck in Greenbelt 1 and lavishly had dinner at Via Mare. It was also the venue where my very first blogging assignment took place. It's always nice to go back where shopping and dining all started.
