Montecito is one of Ayala Land Premier's exclusive suburban communities in Canlubang, Laguna. The 60-hectare project is designed with less than five residential lots per hectare of land, making it Ayala Land's lowest density development since Forbes Park.
It sits at one of the highest points of the 1,700-hectare urban eco-center Nuvali - a modern metropolis with a vision for a way of life built on the principles of economic , social and environmental sustainability .
From here, the cool, clean air of Laguna is as invigorating and inspiring as the majesty of Laguna de Bay, Tagaytay Ridge, Mt. Makiling, Mt. Banahaw and the Makati skyline that paints Montecito's horizon.
There couldn't be a better place than Montecito to make a home and now, the Pasa Tiempo clubhouse is being redeveloped to make life at Montecito an even better experience for its residents.
"It is only right to enhance Pasa Tiempo for the Montecito community," says May Rodriguez, Project Development Manager.
Sketch of Pasa Tiempo's future development
"We are very excited about the development. It will really make Pasa Tiempo the hub of recreation, hobbies and community activities at Montecito."
The original structure that will become Pasa Tiempo was built in the 1980s by National Architect Leandro V. Locsin for the Yulo family. It was their home, the site of happy occasions for many years. Today, a larger family will be served by Pasa Tiempo - the residents of Montecito who will gather in the village clubhouse for fun and recreation with the whole community.
The redevelopment is meant to make Pasa Tiempo a more suitable location for Montecito residents to enjoy the growing number of activities they hold in the clubhouse.
"We are altering circulation and architectural details to increase the functionality of the space and the sense of pleasure of both the landscape and natural light," Rodriguez says.
"In the selection of interior furnishings and details, we are working to create spaces that retain the intimate feel of a personal home while functioning as a community clubhouse."
The bedrooms will be made over into a library veranda. Mrs. Yulo's original showcase kitchen will become a demo kitchen for the community while the basement level shall house facilities for various wellness activities.
Pasa Tiempo's large social hall will be refurbished and will continue to serve as an elegant space for special events. Beneath the social hall, a pool deck would be created from which a long swimming pool will stretch into the garden.
The redevelopment of Pasa Tiempo is a reflection of the spirit of Montecito. It came from a legacy of family values and dreams fulfilled, which now will be passed on to the larger Montecito community.
As Pasa Tiempo is being renewed in honor of the families that now make Montecito their home, they could only be certain of more fun and recreation, as well as happier times ahead for the whole community.
