Covering only 12 hectares, Serendra in Bonifacio Global City is a relatively small project of Ayala Land.
Its intimate setting though makes it ideal for families and young professionals looking for a haven inside a bustling community. The interior of Serendra was patterned after classical European architecture combined with traditional bahay na bato Philippine designs. The result is a relaxed yet modern community. More than half of Serendra is dedicated to landscaped greenery and two Ayala Land projects.
One Serendra - this is a project of Ayala Land Premier located at the corner of 11th Avenue and 32nd street. One Serendra differs from other Ayala Land Premier projects through its distinctive low-to-mid-rise terraces. One Serendra is composed of two towers: East Tower and West Tower. This allows owners to live a gracious suburban lifestyle while being only a stone’s throw away from everyday conveniences. One Serendra is surrounded by multiple small tropical gardens. Residents feel enclosed in their own private sanctuary, with their own dedicated spa, underground badminton, volleyball and basketball courts, and multiple swimming pools, among others. Two towers comprise the One Serendra development.
Two Serendra - the residential development of Alveo Land Corp., this cluster of low to mid-rise, and high-rise condominium units caters to the working professional who wants to be in the thick of things without compromising peace and serenity. Low to Mid-rise phase is composed Almond, Belize, Callery, Dolce and Encino towers. On the other hand, High-rise phase is composed of Aston, Red Oak, Meranti and Sequioa towers.
It seems apt that Two Serendra is located within this part of BGC, as the studio apartments here are spacious and built to accommodate a large amount of greenery. The goal of the project was to create a retreat that had the same feel of suburbia, with sprawling open spaces and majestic trees and shrubberies. Two Serendra is also strategically located near various restaurants, art installations, and leading health and educational institutions. Serendra is indeed sweet in its simplicity, but one that envelopes residents in a healthy and sustainable environment. Ayala Land constantly strives to develop projects that utilize leading technologies to create areas that are both livable and contemporary.
Serendra might be the smallest among the three Ayala developments in the area but it definitely packs a big punch. From dining choices to shopping and different services, Serendra is one of the best places to visit in BGC Taguig. While Serendra might be better known for it’s impressive restaurant lineup, it also has shops offering different products and services that would surely make your trip there worthwhile. After leaving your car at Serendra’s basement parking (and maybe even having it cleaned there), take the escalator and enjoy everything the place has to offer.
What to Do
The experience of getting a massage from Karada is very different from the massage you’re used to. Located at the second floor of Serendra, Karada presents a solution to those aches and pains that a regular 250-peso massage simply could not manage. Founded in Japan, it merges the concept of chiropractic techniques and traditional massages. Choose between the Atlas and Pelvis Balance, Body Treatment, Foot Treatment, or any combination to refresh your body.
For the ladies, while waiting for your friends for your lunch date at Serendra, you can touch up your brows and make sure they’re on fleek. Choose among their threading and tweezing services and ever color your brows if you have enough time.
Where to Eat
If you want comfort food, Mamou is the best bet for you. Along with their hot breads, get started with Barcia Strips (crispy pork strips with vinegar) or Truffle Flavored Vegetable Mushroom Dip with Whole Wheat Melba Chips. Mamou’s Soft-Shell Crab Salad is also highly-recommended. They also have lots of choices for pastas and sandwiches but their Mains are what made Mamou popular. The Angus Ribeye USDA Prime Grade Steak (400 grams, 1,950 pesos) is the go-to for a lot of Mamou fans while the 28 Day Dry-Aged (700 grams, 3,290 pesos) is usually reserved for celebrations
Dessert might be the first thing you think about upon hearing the word Conti’s but the restaurant offers so much more. Their cakes, pies, and tarts are to die for, specifically their Bananalicious Pie, Mango Bravo, and Mango Tart, but don’t sleep on their entrees. Try Conti’s Baked Salmon with Paella Rice, Lengua Estofado, or USDA Beef Salpicao before ordering the dessert you’ve been craving for to complete the experience. They also serve your favorite silogs if you wants something quick and easy.
If you want Filipino food, Abe is an easy choice to make. The Kapampangan restaurant is the popular choice for locals treating their balikbayan or even foreign friends because it serves up the best the Filipino cuisine has to offer. Start off with a serving of Sinuteng Baby Squid and chances are that this appetizer will make it’s way to your main meal as its tasty sauce needs to be partnered with garlic rice. Abe’s puts a twist on everyone’s favorite soup with Sinigang sa Ube. The purple soup might surprise you at first but you’d definitely fall into love with it after your first spoonful. Get a serving of Lamb Adobo, Manyamang Beef Asado, and Pork Binagoongan. Don’t worry about over-ordering because this is the kind of food that will still be good the day after.
All of these great places could be at right at your door if you decide to become a part of the Serendra neighborhood instead of just a visitor. One Serendra and Two Serendra both provide gracious suburban condo living in the city.
